Someone who's "controlling" the cardist.
An A4 paper.
Pen.
Preparation
Draw on the A4 paper an UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT arrow.
Video
One person is seated in front of the A4 paper. This person is presented to be able to manipulate the cardist. You can present this in a more cinematic way, with an unboxing of the "toy", even put the cardist in a gigantic box, assemble him and then give the toy a test run.
Proceed to "play" with the cardist. By "pushing" the arrows you control the way he moves, cuts, fans the deck.
You can have more controls than just arrows on the paper. Like buttons for fanning, cutting, splitting, throwing.
