Mr. Cory, 60 years of age, has been born with the ability of being able to change what happens on television, but his power comes with a restriction: he can only affect magic shows. He does this by taking control of the magician's hands and manipulating them as he wills.

Questions

Who is this magician and what does he want to achieve by doing this?

What are the other magicians going to do about this?

Is there someone that can stop this odd villain?

The Method

You can play a bit with the way the old man influences the magician's show. He could sketch a comic book of how the events will unfold in a few minutes. He could sing about it, make a poem - the bottom line being him utilizing any art form through which he can express a version of the future. You can choose to implement all of them in your story to create a more divergent plot line.

Science Fiction Alert

Now let's take a bit more into the science fiction area. The main question I am going to tackle here is, "How can someone control someone's hands from a distance?"

The first image I got in my head was that of an individual wearing a suit with a lot of metal strings attached from his chest to his arms. These strings would be connected to a program installed in the suit he would be wearing. From afar, someone else would wear a similar suit, connected to the first one. This second costume would dictate the movements of the first individual. The two bodies being connected through the program installed in their suit, the strings would be synchronized.

Another tackle on this subject would be the use of Virtual Goggles together with a full body suit to control a users movements. This would mean that you would have two worlds - one that is virtual and one that is real, where you would add the twist that the people living in the virtual world would not know of the existence of the other, Real world. This could transform into a game-story where individuals can log into this game and take control, at any time, of an user from the Virtual World. And there you go, you have a completely new idea.
