Concept: A number of magicians come together to perform a rube goldberg process.
How:
The first magician performs a "Hotshot". Flying card hits a domino piece which hits another until the domino pieces reach 52 cards that are set just like domino pieces, once hit, causing them to lay flat on the awaiting-magicians hand.
This performs an "Arial Spread Catch". With the deck in his hand he starts performing flourishes. The last cut messes his entire deck, the cards falling unto a side of a weighing machine which sends flying another deck of cards unto a magician's top hat.
This proceeds to produce, from the hat, a living or stuffed animal (shows no deck inside) which starts hopping towards a little ball. It kicks it. The ball rolls and rolls then falls between a magician's index and middle finger.
This starts performing a routine with it.
And so on.
A step Further
You can take this to extreme heights and create a world where all of humanity is entangled inside an Endless Rube Goldberg Process.
From 14 years of age, each kid is assigned a calendar and on it are marked dates and places where he or she should be. Once present at the respective place, on the respective date, the girl or boy must execute an action in order not to break the Goldberg Chain that has been going on for centuries.
Many people have tried to break the chain, but none have succeeded, every lack of action or different action that the expected one being treated as just another link towards the next step in the process.
But Astor broke the chain. Forever. This is his story.
This can be developed into a story for sure.
