Concept: Instead of sticking needles into puppets, this "Voodoo Artist" performs tricks and effects in front of a voodoo puppet in order to affect his victims with what he is doing.
Script
INSIDE THE VOODO SHOP, DAY
ARNOLD, 52, is seated at the counter. ALISA, 27, is looking out the window, tapping her foot aggressively on the ground.
"I have finished making your puppet, miss." Arnold says to the woman. She hesitates.
"Yeah... I've changed my mind. Could I have my money back?" Arnold looks towards her, then towards the window. He notices the a bunch of young adults outside a tabacco store.
"But wait, miss, I see you not to believe in me. Allow I to prove my mastery of this craft. Please, choose a victim." the artist is now next to the woman, his hand over her shoulder. Her face tells us she feels a bit awkward. The artist points at several men from across the street. One in particular stands out to the woman (slick looking guy, about 27, no beard, Italian mojo.)
"That one." Alisa points at the Italian looking fellow.
"But what a wonderful choice. Now, stay here," the man moves her from the shop, outside on the sidewalk.
The man shuffles on the other side of the street, "accidently" bumps into the fellow, then comes back.
"I've got what I need. Now, wait for my command. When I sign you "thumbs up" go to him and start talking to him." without letting her give a reply, the man escorts Alisa out of the store.
We see Alisa wanting to say something, but does not. She looks at the Italian. He is handsome. In the background the voodoo artist is seen tying a hair on a doll, setting it nice and easy, pulling out a deck of cards and then eventually signing Alisa the "thumbs up".
We see her shuffle hesitantly towards the italian guy. He spots her. She is not a bad looking woman, so his interest in piqued when he sees her talking to him.
"Hy there."
"Well, hello there, miss." the italian guy kisses her hand. "What brings you to me?"
With no time to reply, the guy makes big eyes, BIG BIG EYES at her.
"How did you do that? That was amazing!"
She is confused. Again, something happens and the guy reacts.
"WOOOOW. Are you a magician? You're not doing anything but at the same time I see you perform all kinds of miracles." The lady glances over across the street. Arnold smiles and gives her a thumbs up one more.

Different Approach
Obviously, you can take the concept and do something else with it. There's plenty of potential in this idea of a Voodoo Magician. It could be a boy with this super power - a boy that is bullied at school and ends up using his power for revenge and fame.
I'm sure you can take this and evolve it into a neat story or sketch.
